The first room is relatively trivial until approaching the pipe that takes the player to 1-3. It is important to note that hitting the ceiling in the beginning when dodging the piranha plant can actually cause the player to die due to the momentum from the bounce, making it often easier to dodge said piranha plant by unintuitively doing a lower jump.

The easier of the two strategies for the first room involves spawning an early elevator towards the pipe that takes you to 1-3. This can be done by doing a quick left/right on the platform before the elevator roughly at its midway point. The comparison between spawning points with and without the left/right can be compared on the right.

A good visual queue for when to jump off the elevator is to hang to the left side and wait for the elevator to pass the background torch.

The much more advanced first room strategy involves doing a wall jump on the 1-3 pipe. This approach requires the player to fall from the ceiling towards the elevator similarly to how it is done in Warpless and jump on the 1-3 pipe at the height of the bottom of the wood paneling in the background. This approach saves more than a second over taking the elevator.

For both of these first room strategies, landing in the pipe for the second room is accompanied by a good visual queue for planning the initial jump. It is recommended to start the jump when the floor's end matches the left of the T in TIME in the HUD at the top.

The second room has many different strategies for a variety of skill levels. For beginners, it is recommended to skip the mushroom grab as it not only makes the rest of the room much harder, but it is only done under the assumption that the rest of the run will be done with fire. Using this strategy, one can get a _____

It is important to note that we go on the right side of the first hidden block. This is so we line up well with the second hidden block going up. We can go from the left side and it is safer in a sense, but it makes it more awkward to ascend the blocks.
